Admin By Request is a software application that helps organizations manage local administrator rights on desktops and servers.
In layman's terms, it allows users to request administrator privileges when they need them, and then revokes those privileges when they are no longer needed. This helps to reduce the risk of malware and ransomware attacks, and it also helps to improve the security of the organization's systems.
Those icons will allow you to request Administrator privilege's.
There are two means to access those privilege's.
Administrator Session:
is a temporary elevated privilege granted to a user by Admin By Request. This allows the user to run applications and perform tasks that require administrator privileges, but the privileges are revoked when the session ends.
Run as Administrator:
is a command that allows a user to run an application with elevated privileges. This is a more permanent solution than an administrator session, but it also poses a greater security risk.
The main difference between an administrator session and a Run as Administrator is the duration of the elevated privileges. An administrator session is temporary, while a Run as Administrator is permanent.
